OUR MISSION

The Lompoc Firefighters Foundation supports the Lompoc Fire Department in protecting life, property, and the environment by providing essential equipment, training and public outreach to supplement City resources.

WHY WE EXIST

Firefighters in Lompoc face an enormous array of challenges, including: wildfires, motor vehicle accidents, earthquakes, medical responses, hazardous material spills. Firefighters must endure searing heat, exposure to carcinogens and other life-threatening conditions. Additionally, our firefighters are trained as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and provide care to a variety of medical injuries and conditions; heart attacks, strokes, shootings, stabbings and drownings. 

Founded in 2005 by a committed group of community activists, the Lompoc Firefighters Foundation serves to strengthen the overall preparedness and responsiveness of the Lompoc Fire Department. Our focus is on public safety. That is, we support the Department by helping to invest in equipment, training programs and public outreach to help these men and women excel at their jobs.

They are heros, here to serve us -- and the Foundation's mission is to serve them.
